- Don't double-count parks. Every AFI hotel guest gets the parks included, so your hotel-stay savings line (25% off the AFI rate) already contains them. Where members really win per park day: free Photo Pass, 50% off add-on activities, and the free Interax swims.
- Book 72+ hours ahead and always through the member site or center — walk-in rates don't get the 25%.
- Price-match: find a cheaper public rate for the same room/dates and EXL must still give you 25% off that rate (send the screenshot).
- Free airport transfers both ways on every hotel stay — that's ~$150+ per trip. Log it.

How to value a trip honestly
- Hotel stays: log the difference between the public rate for your dates and what you actually paid.
- Park days: parks are already inside any All-Fun-Inclusive rate, so don't log gate prices on top of hotel savings. Use "Park admission" only if your honest baseline is a non-Xcaret hotel plus bought tickets — and then skip the hotel-discount line for that trip. One baseline, not both.
- Transfers, photos, brunch: log what they'd have cost — these add up fast.
- Extra costs belong here too: RCI activation ($339), exchange fees ($250/$295), TRC access ($1,675), so the break-even math stays real. Renewal fees ($146/yr) are added automatically.

Booking rules
- Reserve ≥ 72 hours ahead, in a member/beneficiary name.
- Min 2 nights, max 60; up to 10 rooms per stay.
- Kids under 5 free; ages 6–17 pay the hotel's child rate.
- Pay the reservation in full to lock the preferential rate; bring the EXL confirmation + ID at check-in.
- Special benefits for third parties: $20 processing fee per request.
- Room upgrade at check-in is to the next level only (not Junior/Family/Master/Presidential).
Money rules
- Prepay any time, zero penalty — notify from the Legal Email; it goes straight to principal.
- Payments due the 1st business day of each month; >5 business days late = 5%/mo + VAT default interest.
- Missing more than 2 installments, or 2+ years of renewal fees, lets EXL terminate — with a 30% liquidated-damages clause ($15,870).
- Annual renewal: $146/yr (can only rise with Mexican CPI).
- Statements monthly on the member site; dispute within 60 days.
- Transfers to family/spouse are free; to anyone else, 10% of price ($5,290).
